Army Cadet College (ACC)

ACC Army Cadet College (ACC), Dehradun is a Wing of IMA which caters for training of service cadets selected for commission. The academic format is similar to the NDA on the lines of 10+2+3 and the syllabus is common.
Army Cadet College Wing (ACC Wing) imparts the first phase of pre-commission training to selected other Ranks to meet their aspirations to become officers in the Indian Army. The Wing runs a three years degree course spread over six semesters of six months each. It is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Lal Nehru University for award of B.A./B.Sc. degrees.

After graduating from the ACC Wing, the cadets join IMA in the second term and undergo one year training before being commissioned as regular officers in the Army.

AFCAT

ACC Armed forces offer very exciting career to young men and women in several fields. Career in Airforce, in addition as a career, is also an adventure in itself.
For all entries other than NDA and CDSE and for all branches, candidates have to undergo the AFCAT(Airforce Common Admission Test). The test is conducted twice a year in February and September. Advertisements inviting applications for AFCAT are out in June and December. Candidates are to apply as per the advertisement.
The test is conducted all across India by the Indian Air Force

Scheme of Syllabus

  The AFCAT Question Paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.
  Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:
  General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.
  Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.
  Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.
  Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

Central Police Force (CPF)

CENTRAL POLICE ORGANISATIONS EXAMINATIONS

ACC Union Public Service Commission will hold a Written Examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Police Forces (CPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) as given out in the advertisement.
Selection will be based on the basis of a written examination to be conducted by the UPSC followed by Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test to be conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Personality Test/ Interview to be conducted by UPSC.

For Sub-Inspector’s Post

  Part I - Written Examination (500 Marks)
       It will have two Papers:
  Paper I (Objective Type Multiple Choice).
  Paper II (Conventional Type).
  PART II - Personality Test/Interview(100 Marks)

The interview/personality test is structured in such a manner that the candidates’ interests, Knowledge, various traits, aptitude, suitability etc. are probed among other things, through academic qualifications, experience, extra-curricular activities, general awareness/knowledge, depth of knowledge of the subjects studied (10+2 onwards), communicative skills and over-all personality etc. The candidates are suitably counselled to further improve their performance.

  Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Pilot Aptitude Battery Test(PABT)

Pilot Aptitude Battery Test is an aptitude test designed and conducted for all those candidates who aspire and apply for a flying career in the Air Force. The main aim is to test the mental alertness, presence of mind and self-confidence of the candidate. It checks whether a prospective candidate has proper control over his nerves while he is flying an aircraft. For this, the candidate is put through tests including meter reading, flying test and drum test. You can take the test only once.

Indian Navy SSR, AA

Indian Navy Sailor Exam is a series of paper-pen based defence entrance examinations directed by the Indian Navy for recruitment to the posts of Navik.
AA - ARTIFICER APPRENTICE
SSR - SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT

The Indian Navy Sailor Exam pattern for these various sailor posts in Indian Navy consits of
a) Written Examination
b) Physical Fitness Test
) Medical Test

Eligibility for Indian Navy SSR, AA

AA - ARTIFICER APPRENTICE
 Age:- Not less than 17 years of age and not more than 20 years of age on the date of enrollment.
 Nationality:- Applicant should be a resident Indian. The Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible to apply for AA Recruitment
 Marital Status:- Unmarried
 Minimum Educational Qualification:- Class 12 or equivalent with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
SSR - SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT
 Age:- Not more than 17 years of age and not more than 21 years of age on the date of enrollement.
 Relaxation of Age:- Against sports quota entry, the upper age relaxation for outstanding sportsmen, who have played at International / National / State level may be considered up to a period of 12 months.
 Nationality:- Applicant should be a resident Indian. The Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible for applying for SSR recruitment.
 Marital Status:- Unmarried
 Minimum Educational Qualification- Minimum class 12 (intermediate) in science stream with compulsory subjects of Physics and Mathematics and Optional subjects of Chemistry or Biology or Computers.
